Barbara C. Phillips, MN, ARNP
Barbara holds board certification as both a Geriatric and Family Nurse Practitioner.
Barbara received her ADN in nursing in 1978, her certificate as a GNP from the univeristy of Washington in 1988, graduated with Honors from
Oregon Health Sciencse Univeristy with a BSN in 1996 and from the University of Washington with a Masters in Nursing as a Family Nurse
Practitioner in 1998. Her health care expeirence includes over 15 years in critical care, 4 years in HIV/AIDS and Hospice, and several
years in primary care - both in the care of nursing home residents as well as outpatient primary care.
Barbara believes that we each know ourselves better than anyone else, and are reponsible for our own health. As a primary health care
provider, she sees her role as your guide/coach/educator (while continuing to assess and treat) in partnernship with you.
She most likes working with people who are ready and willing to take responsiblity for their health...regardless of the condition of that
heatlh. She further believes that quality of life is of utmost importance, and strives to support those at the end of their lives to a peaceful
passing.
Johanna Hofmann, MBA, MAc, LAc
Johanna has been practicing Chinese Medicine since 1996. She is a graduate of the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental
Medicine (NIAOM), with a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and a Certificate in Herbal Studies. Originally a native of Bavaria,
Germany she has lived in the US for the past 30 years.
She stumbled across TCM many years ago, when a friend had to find an alternate treatment for a medical condition. At
the time she was employed at a large corporation, working in Information Technology. She decided to change careers and went back to school for
the study of TCM.
Since her graduation in 1996, she has been in private practice in a number of different clinic settings. She has taught TCM and
related subjects, both at NIAOM and at Bastyr University, Kenmore TCM program.
